At the age of 12 in “Home Ec.” class Sharon discovered a passion and skill for sewing. Her love of sewing continued, making all her own clothes in high school and later, toddler clothes and costumes for her two children, and her nieces and nephew on an old treadle machine. She could be found many nights with her cat Pepper, happily purring on her lap, enjoying the motion of the treadle.

After high school, Sharon worked in a bank for 24 years. She gained experience in many positions within the banking industry. During her final posting in 2002, as a lender, she was “downsized” and opened her own company in 2003.

During her time at the bank, Sharon, her husband David and her two children started riding lessons in Ajax. While Sharon and her kids competed at schooling shows, each earning 1st place ribbons, David started honing his photography skills with the horses at the stable.

In the summer of 2002, Sharon and David rode across Ireland with their dear friend Janice Ginter of Cantering On Thru, Equine Photography and Journalism. Their fabulous trek took them 225 km in six days through counties Galway & Clare and was hosted by Nicola and Bertie Cummins of the An Sibin Riding Centre.

David currently rides at Pickering Horse Centre and is working on his OEF Levels. Sharon currently rides with the Over the Hilltoppers at Hilltop Equestrian.
